Adult Education Budget

As part of the proposed Devolution Deal for the North East region, the Adult Education Budget (AEB) will be fully devolved from Academic Year 2024/25 to the new North East Mayoral Combined Authority.

On 31st July 2023, we hosted an initial stakeholder engagement event inviting adult education providers and other relevant organisations to Durham Riverside Stadium, to find out more about the proposed devolution deal for the North East region, in particular the timescales leading up to the Adult Education Budget being fully devolved from Academic Year 2024/25. Over 160 delegates attended the event.
